Growing Up

I grew up in Southern California with a house full of brother. I felt like a princess who was loved, protected and could get away with almost anything. But, I also recall being held down with dangling loogies over my face and being the target practice in the backyard with a soccer ball, all for one minuscule gummy bear. Life was good. I had a wonderful childhood with many happy memories and all along the way I would draw, paint and create.

Past Jobs

I have had many jobs throughout my life like a yogurt tester, waitress, 24 Hour Fitness phone girl and working for United Express airline checking in and boarding.

Training

I went to Saturday High at Art Center in Pasadena and Platt college for graphic design in order to land a job in the Pacific Bell yellow Pages creating page layouts and line art. A lot of what I know and can do comes from practice, practice, practice.

Passions

My true passion in life is art, kids and books. So now I am a kids art teacher by day and while all are asleep in the house I do my own art and love to read good books. My walls are covered with my kids creations as well as my own paintings and have art supplies tucked in every corner.

Likes

I love adventure from bungi jumping and sky diving to mountain biking and hang gliding. Also, I can’t go a day without at least some chocolate.

Now

Now being grown, I have travelled afar, am married to a great guy and have 4 super-fantastic girls.  I have been an art teacher for the past 7 years and for the past 2 years, work at Mccoy Rigby Conservatory of the Arts as an art teacher to some amazing kids.
